Note: NOT STOCK!

Loss: -

1 a. One that is lost.
1 b. The condition of being deprived or bereaved of something or someone.

2.The harm or suffering caused by losing or being lost.

(Definition taken from yourdictionary [dot] com)

We all have someone or something that we've lost. I wear tokens of my 3 losses as a reminder, perhaps even as a reason to keep going.

The cross represents my faith, I lost that a long time ago. I've seen too much to believe.

The wedding ring belonged to my grandfather, he died when I was 7, and his wedding ring was given to me on my 21st birthday (I was the only grand child he knew).

The claddagh ring, well, that's pretty obvious ;)

the compositio itself, with so much space around gives a feeling of solitude. even without the description, one instantly thinks, that these objects belong to somebody who's somehow gone. in the first moment, i thought this must be, how it looks like, when somebody dies, and they give you back his personal things. really interesting photo and very good execution.

Thank you :)

I've been broken apart so many times, that the shards have turned to dust, and blown away.

what is a claddagh ring?

I love this, this is probably one of my favorite works from you.

What happened to your faith? Faith in humanity? Faith in life? Faith in what have you lost? Everything? Why?

Carpe Lumen! Carpe Scienciam! Carpe Vitam!

The very concept of existence is surreal. To be able to understand it, would cause you to first lose yourself in the concept of what is.

Claddagh ring, it's the silver one.

The hands represent friendship, the crown represents loyalty, and the heart represents love.

When you wear it with the bottom of the heart facing you, it means that your heart belongs to another.

Faith is never lost, it merely changes.

Or so I believe.

No, I'm not christian... That's something that changed for me many moons ago.

The photograph though, is nice. It's got good clarity, a nice combination of colours. Is simple and the more you look at it complicated. A contradiction, like most loss, of giving and taking away. You give the viewer a clear idea of a picture, you take away the barriers that often make a picture private to the artists by making it open to interpretation.

Have I been too artistic here? I hope not.

And here children, we see the newest addition to our zoo, the Amanda. We are very lucky to have one; there aren't very many left. Don't feed it, the only thing it can eat is anchovies. And no pictures, please, or it will lick you.

Thanks for the comments, (don't worry I never know what to say either), and of course the :+fav: ;)

Personally, I love my claddagh ring :)
